Country Artists Guild to Cease

| Country Artists | September 12, 2010

The Following announcement has been made by the Country Artists Guild.

Dear Country Artists Guild Member

We regret to announce that the Country Artists Collectors’ Guild will cease operating on 31st December 2010. This is due to the decreasing number of members of the Guild, and the lack of support for the special member-only figurines.

This means that if your membership is due for renewal in 2010 we will not be able to renew your membership, but we will continue to send out the regular mailings in 2010 including Country Letters. If you have already renewed your membership for 2010 we will be contacting you in due course, or if you renewed for two years in 2009, we will be sending you your 2010 renewal gift, Cock Sparrow automatically.

We will continue to service your membership for the whole of 2010 and you will receive your regular copies of Country Letters and your special Collectors’ hard-backed book, which will be the final edition. You will also receive your redemption form for the 2010 Member Only Figurine, Attentive Parent, which you can order in the usual way from your local Country Artists Stockist.

As a gesture of goodwill, we are offering the 2010 Symbol of Membership, Cock Sparrow at a special one off price of £10.00 to all of our current Guild members. This can be ordered via the Collectors’ Guild office, please telephone +44 (0)1228 404380 to place an order. Please note there is limited stock available of both the Sparrow and Attentive Parent and will only be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We also have a limited number of Country Letters binders available at the special price of £5.00.

I hope you have enjoyed your membership with us and would like to thank you for all your loyalty and support for Country Artists. If you have any queries regarding your Membership, please contact the Guild office. We are always happy to help.

Border Fine Arts – Some History

| History | September 10, 2010

From humble beginnings in an eighteenth-century farmhouse near Langholm in 1974, Border Fine Arts developed quickly. Carefully researched, highly detailed and accurately painted figurines were created, for which demand grew rapidly from a very receptive marketplace.

The workforce grew in leaps and bounds to keep pace with the orders that poured in. Middleholm was quickly outgrown and premises were found in the town, which in turn were expanded to accommodate demand. Border Fine Arts has now become a household name and leader in the manufacture of superb, lifelike figurines. So much so, that In 1986, Border Fine Arts was honoured to win the Scottish Business Achievement Award in recognition of the company’s growth and commitment to making a quality product.

In addition to the wildlife studies and farming scenes created for the Classic Collection, Border Fine Arts now also produces a broad range of collectable figurines and accessories for its Studio Collection, and continues to develop and manufacture many famous licensed collectable brands such as Beatrix Potter and Winnie the Pooh.
